Brogen OEEP8 is a coaxial integrated electric drive axle developed for 6–7.5 m midi buses, shuttle buses, and intercity coach applications. The platform is available in dedicated Transit and Highway variants, allowing OEMs to optimize vehicle performance for either urban stop-and-go duty cycles or higher-speed regional transport.
The Transit version prioritizes launch torque and urban drivability, delivering up to 7,285 Nm axle torque for demanding city bus routes. The Highway version is calibrated for improved cruising efficiency and higher vehicle speeds up to 115 km/h, making it suitable for intercity coach applications.
Both variants operate on a 540 V architecture and share the same cast housing platform, ensuring durability, packaging consistency, and simplified vehicle integration. The integrated system supports maintenance-free oil-lubricated hub units and pneumatic disc brakes, helping reduce maintenance requirements while improving long-term operational reliability.
With its compact integrated layout, flexible performance calibration, and commercial-duty durability, the OEEP8 is well suited for next-generation electric bus platforms.
