The OETED6610 introduces a 4-speed automatic transmission (ratios 6.61, 3.52, 1.89, 1.00) to deliver a maximum system output torque of 6,610 Nm—nearly double the TED3380—for 14–18-ton trucks and special-purpose vehicles. The motor produces 110 kW rated / 220 kW peak (500 Nm / 1,100 Nm) at 3,500 rpm. The 680 × 500 × 569 mm, 228 kg package integrates a PTO with a 1.02 total ratio and 300 Nm peak torque. The wide 4-speed ratio spread (6.61 first gear) provides exceptional tractive force from standstill for heavy-load starts on gradients, while the 1.00 direct drive top gear minimises mechanical losses at cruising speed.
