The OEL120 is a low-speed direct-drive motor engineered for 11–12 m full-size city buses and 12–18 T sanitation vehicles, eliminating the need for a primary gearbox. Rated at 120 kW / 240 kW peak, it produces 1 200 Nm rated and 2 400 Nm peak torque at a top speed of 3 000 rpm from a 520 VDC source, housed in a robust Φ372×430 mm, 220 kg casing. Direct drive dramatically reduces drivetrain mechanical losses and maintenance touchpoints compared with geared alternatives. EWEA-TECH achieves ≥97% peak efficiency on this platform through high-reluctance rotor design, advanced iron-core silicon steel with low hysteresis, and high-coercivity NdFeB permanent magnets optimized for sustained high-torque operation.
